Information Regarding Article 17, May 1 Town Meeting
The additional appropriation for the Library Project to be voted at Town Meeting on May 1 is $6.35M. Of that, $3.37M will be transferred from unexpended funds from the High School project (funds that can be used only for another capital project), and $2.98M will be appropriated from the undesignated general fund balance. This appropriation will not result in any additional taxes.
The Select Board voted 3-0-0 to support. The Finance Committee voted 9-0-0 to recommend.
