Dear Mr. Gelerman and Mr. Turkington:
The Foundation was quite surprised to learn that some Sharon residents and Town officials, including you, Mr. Gelerman, the Town Attorney, were speculating how our charitable foundation money should be spent; as well as how much we actually have in our bank account.
- The fundraising amount shown on the sign in front of the library includes pledges, and doesn’t reflect actual money collected.
- Pledges will not be collected until the project has been permitted.
The decision of the Foundation is not to use Foundation funding towards purchase of property.
The Foundation requests that the Town and its agents please refrain from discussions regarding the spending of Foundation funds.
